Tony Hudak and Gus Vanderbeek, co-captions of the football team, were both voted "All County" in 1947. These former teammates remain friends to this day. The black and white photo is from 1947 and the color photo is from Tony's 80th Birthday party in 2010.
Tony Hudak says the highlight of his football career was in his senior year during a victory over Plainfield. He was named player of the game and was given the game ball. An all around athlete, he also played varsity baseball and basketball.
