Raritan Schools 1906
The Raritan Public School was built in the 1870s.
In 1906 it taught grades 1 thru 8.
The Raritan Public School was located
where the municipal building is today.
Raritan teenagers went to Somerville High School.
The High School building was first opened in 1904.
The Building is still standing today.
It is used as a school administration building.
St. Bernard’s Parochial School was in
this building on Somerset Street.
It closed in 1938. The building was
later used as a VFW hall,
but it burnt down in the 1980s.
Today an Italian Bakery and Nail Art are in a new building
where St. Bernard’s Parochial School once stood.
