The Sonny Tozzi Memorial Bench
was dedicated at Frelinghuysen Park.
Mr. Tozzi was a lifelong resident of the Borough of Raritan and served on many municipal boards. He was the owner of Tozzi Fuel Oil Company which provided fuel oil for many of the town residents. He retired and sold the business to Skylands Energy.
After his death, his wife received many donations. She contacted the Raritan Recreation Department and offered to donate money to them. The Recreation Commission decided to memorialize Mr. Tozzi by erecting a marble bench in his honor.
