Photos from 3rd Annual Meet Your Neighbor Day 2008
The day was in Memory of Raritan Residents that we lost in the last year.
Founder of Meet Your Neighbor Day, Councilman Victor Laggini (far right),
started off the event with a moment of silence.
Sparky, the Mascot of the Somerset Patriots,
stopped by to say hello.
Our Congressman, Rodney Frelinghuysen said
"Raritan is my favorite town."
His ancestors once lived in what is today's library building.
And of course, the park at which Meet Your Neighbor Day was held, Frelinghuysen Park, is named after his family.

A Martial Arts demo was done by Ahn's Tae kwon do from Raritan.
In the photo on the left you can see the boards being broken.
Vicky Melitsky lends a hand at the front desk.
Vicky graduated with John Basilone from
St. Bernard's Parochial School in 1932.
She is the last surviving classmate.
St. Ann's Deacon John Pacifico said the opening prayer.
Sixty-five years earlier John Pacifico
along with a few of his high school friends
turned this site into a baseball field.
