Historical Walking Tour of Somerset Street
Saturday, April 23rd 2016
A historical walking tour of Somerset Street is being sponsored by the
Raritan Historical and Cultural Committee on Saturday, April 23 2016.
Please join us for a walk back in history.
One walking tour is scheduled for 10AM and another at 1 PM.
The tour will take approximately one hour.
Each tour will gather on the sidewalk in front of
the Raritan Public Library at the designated times.
The cost is $5. (Children under 12 are free.) Registration is required.
Call the library to reserve a spot.
Each person on the tour will receive a booklet.
Musical Performance - Salvatore Chiarelli
Thursday, May 12th 2016 - 6:30 PM
Award winning Italian tenor, Salvatore Chiarelli,
will perform songs from his newly released CD
"In Song: An Expression of Love, Passion, & Deep Sentiment".
Mr. Chiarelli's program will include
popular, traditional, classical Italian/Neapolitian songs,
Italian Opera, musical theater pieces, and
Italian-American love ballads ... sung in Italian & English.

Adult Coloring Class
Thursday, May 26th 2016 - 6:30 PM
Sign up to join in on an adult coloring class.
Choose a garden or a flower drawing from
the "Secret Garden" an Inky Treasure Hunt
and Coloring Book. Bring a friend and enjoy
a relaxing, fun evening. Class is free.
Colored pencils and drawings will be supplied.
Registration is required. Please call library to register.
Dr. Edgar T. Flint 1877 - 1966
For the months of March and April, photos, memorabilia, and stories
will be on display at the Library featuring Raritan’s highly respected
hometown physician Dr. Edgar T. Flint.

What is particularly noteworthy is that Dr. Flint served in
3 wars including the Spanish American War, WWI, and WWII.
A few of his accomplishments include being an organizer of the
American Legion Post (now the John Basilone Post) and being
County Physician (Coroner) for 15 years.

Stop by the Library to see this special tribute to Dr. Edgar Flint.
