Adult Movie Matinee: "A Christmas Carol"

Raritan Public Library will be showing the 1984 classic
"A Christmas Carol". Academy Award Winner George C. Scott
gives a powerful performance as Ebenezer Scrooge in this
heartwarming telling of Charles Dickens' beloved drama.
Greedy Scrooge despises the revelry of Christmas,
much less comprehend its meaning.
Visits from ghosts of Christmas past, present and
future force him to soul-search and see the errors of his ways.
Running time: 100 minutes

Colonial and Victorian Christmas Customs
Wednesday, December 21st @ 6:30pm
Decorations of holly and mistletoe, gingerbread and caroling,
these are a few of the Christmas customs that
have been handed down from earlier times.
Learn similarities and differences between a Colonial
Christmas and a Victorian Christmas celebration.
Discover what foods were prepared and enjoyed as part
of the holiday festivities.
Food and beverages from the time period will be served.
