Loving Vincent

‘Loving Vincent’ is the world’s first feature, oil painted
animation movie revealing the life and controversial death of
Vincent Van Gogh as told by over 120 of his greatest paintings.
The plot is drawn from 800 letters written by the artist himself.

Soap Making Class with Gayane
Thursday, August 9th @6:00pm
Gayane will instruct the class on making a beautiful
bar of glycerin soap. Each crafted soap will be created
by a melt and pour method and will contain grass, butterflies
and pretty flowers all made from soap materials.
A $5.00 fee applies to materials only and is due at time of registration.
Sign up early since class size is limited.

Join our adult coloring program for a calming afternoon.
Adult coloring reduces stress, enhances focus and creativity.

The Green Planet Band

To coincide with this year's summer reading theme:
"Libraries Rock",
Raritan Public Library is hosting a special outdoor
concert with "The Green Planet Band".
This local family band is comprised of
12-year-old Kylee Rapp (vocals and guitar),
her 10-year-old twin siblings Tyler (drums) and
Anna (bass) and "Mama" Lisa on lead guitar.
They will perform lots of recognizable classic hits like
"Chain of Fools", "I'm a Believer" and "Locomotion"
which will get you rockin' and rollin'. Open to all ages.

Fun in Acapulco

Can’t get away this summer? Then why not come
and watch a great summer escape movie
“Fun in Acapulco” starring Elvis Presley,
Ursula Andress and Larry Domasin.
Scenic vistas like the cliffs of Acapulco, Mexico and
Latin-beat tunes (“Bossa Nova Baby”) make for a fun
and entertaining evening.
Running time: 90 minutes. Refreshments served.

Raritan’s Distinguished Series: Luigi Zaninelli
Thursday, August 30th @6:30pm
Raritan Public Library is hosting a special
“skype meet and greet” with award winning composer, Luigi Zaninelli.
Mr. Zaninelli grew up in Raritan before studying music ,
at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, PA under the renowned
composer Gian Carlo Menotti and later in Italy under
the legendary Rosario Scalero. Luigi Zaninelli has published over 300 works.
Attendees will get the opportunity to talk to Mr. Zaninelli through
“skype” and to listen to several of his musical compositions.
Some local residents may remember Luigi as “Lou Hayward” when he
performed jazz arrangements during his school years in Raritan.
