Antique Appraisal Show
Thursday, August 3rd at 6:30pm
Alan Snyder, certified antique and estate appraiser,
will be at Raritan Public Library to provide attendees
with a verbal appraisal (up to 2 antiques items per individual).
Mr. Synder has been in the antiques appraisal business
since 1979 and will provide facts/historical information as
well as a cost appraisal for your treasured items.

In 1946, Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford), legendary manager of
the Brooklyn Dodgers, defies major league baseball's notorious
color barrier by signing Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman)
to the team. The heroic act puts both Rickey and Robinson in
the firing line of the public, the press and other players.
Facing open racism from all sides,
Robinson demonstrates true courage and admirable restraint by
not reacting in kind and lets his undeniable
talent silence the critics for him.

shell designed soaps with instructor Gayane
(includes a soap saver too).
Learn the simple melt and pour method of glycerin soap making.

Adult Movie Matinee: Beauty and the Beast

Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful
and independent young woman,
is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in its castle.
Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and
learns to look beyond the beast's hideous exterior, allowing her to
recognize the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides
on the inside. Light refreshments will be served.

The Belle Tones Concert
Saturday, September 23rd @ 1:00pm
In conjunction with the 36th Annual John Basilone Parade,
Raritan Library is hosting a special musical performance by
The Belle Tones on Saturday, September 23rd at 1:00pm.
The Belle Tones are a classy musical trio
(often called the 21st Century Andrew Sisters)
who sing and dance their way from the 1920s through the 1950s and beyond,
particularly patriotic songs. They have performed at venues including
state theatres, sporting events, clubs, fairs and even on the radio
with Joe Piscopo from Saturday Night Live.
Register for an afternoon of fun music and nostalgic entertainment!

John Basilone Parade Day
Sunday, September 24th from 9:30am 1:00pm
Raritan Public Library will be open for special hours (9:30am to 1:00pm)
honoring our hometown hero and all veterans prior to the 36th Annual Parade.
New exhibits will be on display throughout the Library,
particularly in the new Community Room on the first floor.
Registration is not required.
