This historical drama depicts the early career
of NAACP lawyer Thurgood Marshall
(Chadwick Boseman), who would eventually
become the first African-American Supreme Court justice.
In 1940 Connecticut, Marshall defends a black chauffeur
(Sterling K. Brown) who's accused of raping and trying to
kill his white employer (Kate Hudson), and is aided
in his efforts by his co-counsel, Sam Friedman (Josh Gad).
Dan Stevens and James Cromwell co-star.

Raritan’s “Distinguished Series”
Thursday, February 22nd @ 6:30pm
John Pacifico will provide a brief talk and photo presentation
on Raritan’s hero: Gunnery Sgt John Basilone.
Meet and greet some members of the Basilone family including
John’s niece, Kim Van Note, who will talk about the renaming
of Raritan’s post office in honor of her uncle.

Calling All Knitters and Crocheters

Knit or crochet a baby hat to donate to the maternity section
of Robert Wood Johnson Somerset Hospital. Stop by the library
for a free kit to start your project.
The hats will be finished and collected at the library.

Tuesday, March 13th @2:00pm
Sign up to view this film depicting the life of reclusive author,
J. D. Salinger, author of "Catcher in the Rye".
The movie depicts a fascinating insight into the author's life, his
World War II experiences and his struggles with getting published.
Run time: 106 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
