Running Back - Bruce Hennemuth 1968-70 | ||
Bruce Recalls his playing days I loved my time playing football at East. We had a remarkable group of hard working guys who were very talented and well coached. We always had each others back - there were no egos. The seniors encouraged the underclassmen and the coaching staff gave everyone an opportunity to play if they worked hard. The school was new and I think the overall success in sports helped establish a positive feeling within the school community. |
1970 All-County Citation There's really not much that can be said about Hennemuth that hasn't already been said. The super senior halfback did it all for the state-ranked Minutemen, and some of his statistics look like misprints. "Hennie" tallied 162 points this year, running for 1034 yards and catching 38 passes for another 551 yards. For his three year varsity career he scored an even 300 points, and all three seasons averaged over five yards per carry. |
After High School Steve went on to be the Punter at Princeton. |
