Meeting Highlights Include: Edward Ruzbarsky and Joyce Tronolone were appointed as Alternates to the Historical and Cultural Committee. Karen Mirra was appointed to a three year term on The Board of Health. This appointment required Consent of Council. She was approved 4-1-1 with Councilman Foohey voting "No" and Councilman Sibilia "Abstaining". The developer of Stone Bridge at Raritan was granted a reduction in the amount of his Performance Bond from $1,339,612 to $206,014. This is because much of the work has been completed. $920 was refunded for railroad parking permits. Gabe Ruffi, who had previously served as a junior firefighter, was appointed a regular firefighter. Charles Schalk of the firm Mauro, Savo, Camerino, Grant & Schalk was appointed Municipal Prosecuter. He will serve one year for an annual retainer fee of $8000. He replaces Matthew Moench who was just appointed last month but had to resign. Council President Denise Carra commended the great work done by Public Works on the snow removal. A Purchase Order for the Fire Department was approved: $470,000 for a new Fire Truck. | |||||||
