- Mayor Liptak is a fourth generation Raritonian. - Prior to her election as Mayor, she served as a Raritan Borough counilwoman and council president. - She holds a B.A. from Rowan Univerity and a M.A. from The College of New Jersey. - Retired from the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School Distict in 2002. - She served two terms on the Somerset County Planning Board and is past President of the Somerset County Federation of Republican Women. - While teaching at John F. Kennedy School in the borough she began the John Basilone Parade. - She is the co-author of Raritan--Images of America published by Aracadia Press. - In 2009 Mayor Liptak was honored by the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women as their "Distinguihed Honoree" for her work in the community. - Communicant of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church. - She is the mother of one son, Joseph D'Ambola (1975-2004). |

During my term 6 years Borough Council 1) Founder and Chair of Raritan’s “ Meet Your Neighbor Day” events. This year will be the 6th straight year. Sought all donations to avoid a cost to our taxpayer. 2) Active role in Merger Raritan – Somerville Rescue squad 3) Spearheaded 15 minute parking spots on Somerset Street and other areas for business district 4) Spearheaded the Rejuvenation of the dormant Chamber of Commerce. 5) Personally sought donations and designed the 2 previous Raritan Borough Calendars so no cost to Borough taxpayers. 6) Initiated Woodmere Street Brooke cleanup 7) Initiated and implemented employee badges for all borough employees. 8) Attendance to council meetings perfect. 9) Initiated 25 mile hour zone on Sherman ave 10) Initiated Koral Martin dedication. 11) Initiated Home Holiday decorating contest, Chamber event. 12) Initiated Home Halloween decorating contest.
